Welcome to Dixie Air Force JROTC

Please accept our deepest appreciation and thanks for the wonderful Ironman event recently hosted in St. George.  We had a wonderful experience, and wanted to thank you and the citizens of St. George for hosting a remarkable race.

We have been coming to St. George as a family for races and vacations for many years.  We have always found the city to be pleasant and beautiful.  This year, at the Ironman race, the volunteers were amazing!  Throughout the entire racecourse, the countless volunteers of all ages were enthusiastic, helpful to the participants, and a wonderful “face” for the city and citizens of St. George.  We encountered dozens of youth and children passing out water and sponges, parking bikes, picking up trash, and cheering the competitors.  Collectively, the volunteers were a huge positive force and influence at this event.

Please find a way to thank the many organizers and volunteers who made this day memorable and enjoyable for the participants and spectators.  From the earliest hours of the morning at the bus loading area, to the latest hours of the evening at the finish line, we found the volunteers to be first-rate ambassadors of the goodwill that we associate with events in St. George.  These good people will keep us coming back to this scenic part of the state!
